A short drive from the Eden Valley for a cut worth the journey
Appleby-in-Westmorland is one of those towns that feels like it belongs to a different era. The castle, the broad main street running down to the River Eden, and a pace of life that most places have long since lost. We've got a lot of time for Appleby, and we're glad to count plenty of residents from the town and the surrounding Eden Valley villages among our regulars.
Our shop at Eamont Bridge is about 13 miles north-west of Appleby. The quickest route takes you along the B6260 to the A66, then it's a straight run to Eamont Bridge. About 20 minutes in the car depending on traffic, and there's usually very little of it. If you're coming from the villages between Appleby and Penrith like Bolton, Colby, Temple Sowerby or Kirkby Thore, you're even closer.
We get it, driving to another town for a haircut has to be worth it. That's why we focus on getting every detail right. Andrew and Isaac are experienced barbers who take genuine pride in their work, whether it's a clean skinfade, a textured crop, or a traditional cut with a razor-finished neckline. The quality speaks for itself, and so do our 97 Google reviews sitting at a 4.8-star average.
Head north-west from Appleby on the B6260 towards the A66. Join the A66 westbound and follow it past Temple Sowerby until you reach the Eamont Bridge junction. Turn off and follow signs for Eamont Bridge. Our shop is on Skirksgill Lane with free parking right outside. The drive takes about 20 minutes. We recommend booking online through our Setmore page so your time is reserved. A lot of our Appleby regulars combine their visit with a stop at the shops in Penrith or a trip to the Rheged Centre, which is just around the corner from us.
