A few simple things you can do at home to keep your beard looking sharp between visits.
Use a dedicated beard wash or a gentle shampoo a couple of times a week. Regular soap and shower gel strip out the natural oils that keep your beard soft and your skin healthy. Pat it dry, don't rub.
A few drops of beard oil each morning makes a real difference. Keeps the hair soft, stops the itching and gives your beard a healthy look. Just work it in with your fingers from the roots outward.
A quick brush each day trains your beard to grow the way you want it. Spreads the oils around evenly too and gets rid of any loose bits. A boar bristle brush does the job for most beard lengths.
The neckline is where most beards start looking scruffy first. A good rule of thumb is to set it just above your Adam's apple. If you're not confident doing it yourself, that's what your regular trim appointments are for.
